Welcome,
welcome, welcome to the world of online
marketing!
Whether you realize it or not, you are about to
enter the global - worldwide - market place.
You no longer have to be at the mercy of your local
trading area for your business income. Your customer base is now
the entire world, if that’s what you choose.
You may be expanding an existing “offline” business
onto the Internet or starting your very first business from
scratch. Either way, congratulations! You have made a wise
choice.
A PEANUT-SIZED VERSION OF HOW I GOT
HERE:
Until early 2007, I owned a part-time video
production company that specialized in weddings and event videos.
Some of the commercial videos I was contracted to do even won
awards for my clients.
Yet, I felt as though I was held captive by the
community I operated in - a small community of just over 10,000
people. I was ransom to whatever they were willing to pay. While my
style of video was demanding $2-5,000 in major cities, I was lucky
if I could pull away with $800! To compensate, I ended up shooting
less and offering less for the same amount of
money.
Plus, I was trading off time for dollars. This is
the “no work – no pay” business mentality. I wouldn’t make any
money unless I was shooting and editing video. It’s just like being
an employee – show up and you get paid (hopefully); don’t show up
and it’s adios amigos.
There’s nothing wrong with trading time for dollars
but it’s not what I wanted.
I wanted to be able to create residual income.
Writers, musicians, and filmmakers do it all the time. They spend
time creating the product, whether that is a book, a music CD, or a
film. Then the product is marketed. Assuming it’s in demand, it
continues to make money whether its creator is awake or
asleep.
This is called residual income. You do the work once
and the product continues to work for you whether you work or not.
It’s also called passive income because, once you’ve got it set up
and running properly, you can walk away from it and, while only
requiring the occasional tweaking, it generates income “hands
off”.
The Beatle’s songs are still generating income even
though they were written and recorded over forty years ago. Agatha
Christie novels are still being sold, and I’m convinced that John
Wayne westerns will continue to be sold and watched long after I’m
gone.
Since I’m one of those “a-bit-of-everything” -
writer, musician, songwriter, photographer, video producer, and
whatever else, this appealed to me!
I got introduced to business on the Internet almost
by accident. I used to build websites for fun and for my church, as
well as for non-profit groups. In 2005 I took an online course on
Search Engine Optimization (SEO), which made me think about online
business, or more importantly, making money on the
Internet.
It was about that same time that it dawned on me - I
call this "delayed intelligence" (when something quite obvious
'hits' you quite some time later!): I had been buying eBooks over
the internet for some time already. If I needed to know something
then I searched the Internet. I was even willing to pay for that
information.
WOW! If I was willing to pay for
that information, there must be other people out
there also willing to pay. (And, it proved to be
true!)
Since then my journey has led me to become
proficient and professional at researching information, developing
multi-media based information products, building micro-sites that
sell one product or package of products worldwide, writing sales
copy, and the host of other tasks that are required to build a
business online.
But, like I said earlier, you can either choose to
do it yourself - this book will teach you how easy it actually
is - or you can outsource it using informed
decisions.
Also, as a side note, you have purchased this
information product - thank you! by the way - as a direct
result of the marketing techniques I learned from some of the
biggest and greatest names in Internet Marketing. People like Jim
Edwards, Rich Schefren, Jay Abraham, Steven Pierce, Mark Widawer,
Tom Hua, Brett McFall, Dave Taylor, Derek Gehl, Cory Rudl, and
many others. I chose to learn from the best.
Now I would like to invite you to join me, on your
own personal and professional journey of discovery, as you learn
everything you need to know to get the heart of your business
pumping on the Internet. Once it’s out there, your goal will be to
convert it into a highly targeted vacuum, attracting people and
cash, using the techniques I’m going to show you in this
resource.
This product is not really a "book". It’s more like
a "How-To" multimedia-based manual packed with text, audio, and
video.
Even though it is geared toward selling one of the
hottest selling product-types on the entire Internet,
downloadable information products, you
can easily adapt the concepts to sell whatever you wish. The
principles are the same - only the product and its delivery method
changes. You can sell whatever your heart desires and people are
willing to buy, from information to automobiles and
beyond!
I promote downloadable information products, like
this one, because they are easy to create, there’s no inventory, no
shipping, you can fully automate the business, and can also have
zero employees if you choose.
I
got sold on selling information products when I discovered how easy
the products were to make, how much money you can make selling
information, and how in-demand information was. Through various
means, I met people making anywhere from a few hundred dollars, to
hundreds of thousands of dollars, to millions of dollars. I read an
email recently from Derek Gehl about a corner used book store in
Vancouver struggling to compete. They took their business online
and in 2006, only 10 years after they went online, experienced over
$170million in used book sales! Dave Taylor claimed an annual
income of over $500,000 from his blog and his coaching program! So,
the possibilities are there. Plus, by selling downloadable
information, virtually 99.99% of your business can be fully
automated.
You are going to learn what Internet marketing is
all about, the basic steps required, and the "what’s
what".
Your peers will hail you as “the one who
knows!”
This eBook is not claiming to be the ultimate
authority on Internet marketing. Instead, it is the foundation upon
which you can build your creativity and, ultimately, your business.
What is totally possible is only limited by your creative
imagination or the creative imagination of those you
hire.
Napoleon Hill, author of the famous book "Think and
Grow Rich" based your business success on these five elemental
requirements:
1) A Burning Desire
2) Specialized Knowledge
3) Discipline
4) Decisiveness
5) Access to a Mastermind Team
With that in mind, and before we begin, I want to
share a short story with you by way of example.
During this journey of building your online
business, if you ever wonder about whether you can do this thing or
not, then come back to this point and reread this story of Rick
Raddatz:
I met Rick at the World Internet
Summit
in Las Vegas, Nevada in September of 2006. Rick was a
multi-millionaire at age 28. But, by the age of 32, he had LOST
EVERYTHING in a single year through the storm of a divorce, a
tech-stock crash, and a $200,000 tax error (not in his favor). Rick
found himself not only broke, but over $100,000 in
debt.
Six years later he was back - with his own thriving
Internet Company, a net worth of over $10Million, and a
million-dollar vacation home in Breckenridge,
Colorado.
How did he do all this?
He did it just like you can - he started his
comeback in his basement, with an idea, and the guts to buy a
ticket to an Internet Marketing seminar on his last credit
card.
Rick's specialty is audio and video on the Internet
and he knows how to triple conversions using these tools. You will
hear more about Rick later on and about a new audio product of his
that just blew my socks off!
But, right now, let's roll back the curtain and
reveal all the "secrets" you came here to find out
about.
Let's begin with the most
important...
