YOUR 21 MUST-HAVE RESOURCES!

Sources of Free Content:

Here's a GOLDMINE! of resources where you can find free content for your information products, websites, and blogs, etc.

Okay, there are actually more than 21 here - so that's an even bigger bonus!

These resources alone are worth ten times the cost of this eBook!

You can use this information to develop courses you can sell. Or, you can give away the course free to promote your product or even as a bonus to your product. You can gather this information and include it in your actual information product.

Some of this information you can reword and use to attract visitors to your blog or website. If you’re using this free content to attract visitors who may search for your content on your site or blog, then you really need to rewrite the information you get from the resources below. Why? Because search engines hate repeat information – information that is exactly the same, word for word, on other sites. As a result, your site will actually get penalized for copying and will plummet in the site rankings. This is only if you are using the information on your site or your blog.

Strongly consider rewording – rewriting the content. The only content you may not rewrite is from the free articles.

You can also use this free content to develop autoresponder follow-up messages after someone buys your product. We will cover autoresponders later on.

Like everything else, you are only limited by your imagination.

A note of caution though: MAKE SURE YOU CHECK FOR ANY LIMITATIONS OR CONDITIONS YOU NEED TO ABIDE BY, both before and during your use of this free information.

Basically, article authors want you to use their articles as much as possible, as long as you don’t alter the wording and you include their “resource” box – the small "advertisement" or bio that the author includes with the article.

Some content may only be placed on websites and blogs, not in eBooks.

So above all, while you’re usually given a lot of freedom and latitude, check, check, check!

Your 21 Must-Have Resources! =>

Free Articles:

Make sure you check for conditions and limitations.

www.isnare.com

www.goarticles.com

Free Text Content:

These are free encyclopedia-type articles that have many authors contributing to each article. Wikipedia is a free online encyclopedia with a general user license – which means you can basically do what you want with it. Always check first though.

www.wikipedia.com - You can use this content as-is by copying and pasting into your product, or by re-wording it.

www.wikisource.org - More Intellectual articles.

Sources of Free Software:

You can either point people to the site or you can search these sites yourself for free software then point people to the link for that product download. Depending on the conditions, you may be able to download the software yourself, upload it to your own site, and then point people to your site to download it from there. This has the advantage of taking people to your site, where, if you choose, you can promote other products your have for sale, or collect the person’s name and email address in order for them to download the product. You can build an email list this way.

Free Video Content:

These sites contain videos that you are encouraged to use and even add to your own site, blog, ".exe" eBook, etc. They have links on the right side of the video that contain code you can copy and paste into your website. While this makes the video appear as though it is on your site, it is not. It is only being linked to by your site and “projected” to your site to be viewed by your site’s visitors. You may consider your site as the "projector screen." The "projector" is the site that hosts the actual video.

This has tremendous advantages.

Video uses a lot of “bandwidth”. This is because video files are usually quite large. If a video is hosted on your own site, meaning you actually uploaded a video to your site and now you’re allowing people to either download it or view it online - this is where you become the "projector" and their web browser becomes the "screen" - then every time someone views your video you pay for the amount of bytes transferred from your site to the person’s computer. The video is just a very large file, which is transferred whether the person is downloading it or just viewing it online. The "amount" of information transferred is called "Bandwidth".

For example: Imagine you have a file that is 10 megabytes in size. If 10 people download it, then you have used 100 megabytes of bandwidth (10 MB x 10 downloads). Watching a video basically counts the same as a download, as far as bandwidth is concerned.

Website hosting companies give you a certain amount of “free” bandwidth with your package. Once you go over the limit you pay extra. With video, you could begin paying extra very quickly.

Using videos from YouTube, Google video, Brightcove, MetaCafe, and Yahoo video on your website, in the manner described earlier, means you get the privilege of using the video, but because they host the actual video they pay the bandwidth.

There are definite advantages to making your own videos that promote your product and site name but there are also many excellent videos out there that are free to use.

With YouTube, GoogleVideo, Brightcove, MetaCafe, and Yahoo video you can search for just about any topic you can imagine.

http://video.google.com

http://video.yahoo.com/

http://www.brightcove.com/

http://www.metacafe.com/

Consider using one of these videos on your site or on your blog, or even in your .exe eBook. Then find a complimentary article and include it on the same page. Add in a related piece of software that you found and you have just produced extreme value for your viewer.

You are not only including value through the content, but you have also saved your viewer from having to search for this information. You may say that anyone can search for information but look at it this way: How can you search for something when you’re not even sure what to search for or where to search for it?

By compiling this information together for your viewer you are providing value.

You have done all the research and compiled useful information together, from a variety of sources, into a cohesive and easy-to-understand resource package – and that’s why people are happy to pay you. It’s drive-through convenience for them. Magazine article writers do the same thing – as do journalists, non-fiction writers, documentary film producers and a host of others.

Ebooks:

You can use some of these books to resell. Check the conditions and limitations. With sites like Gutenberg, which is a public domain site – meaning that no one owns the copyright anymore – you can either take the eBook and resell it as-is, or do the smart thing: Revamp it, rewrite it and bring it up-to-date, then rename and repackage it. You now hold the copyright to the new version because you substantially rewrote it. You can now sell or give this book away free.

Not all of these eBooks are free but the sites are worth going to and searching through.

www.gutenberg.org

www.booksforabuck.com

Picture/Image content:

Some of these sites charge for you to download the image but are extremely cheap. Don’t just copy images you find on other people’s sites or that you find on a Google search, as many of them are copyright protected.

www.istockphoto.com - Buy credits and exchange them for images.

www.bigstockphoto.com - Buy credits and exchange them for images.

http://commons.wikimedia.org/

www.gimp.org - This is a site that allows you to adjust your images, add text on them, and create effects, etc. – somewhat like Adobe Photoshop.

Free U.S. government ‘Public Domain’ articles and eBooks:

Search these sites for information on just about anything. Even though these articles and eBooks may be up-to-date, even written today, they are public domain, meaning that they are free to use. Just make sure that you are still on the government site when you consider using the content and haven’t been redirected to an outside company.

Finding eBooks, etc. that you can give away as a bonus:

Whenever you are selling something on the Internet, it is always more enticing for your prospect to buy something if you “sweeten the pot”.

You do this by adding “bonuses”. Now, not only do they get your main product but they also get these three additional bonuses. You place a dollar value on each bonus so that the total of all the bonuses add up to much more than the main product value.

There are many sites where you can buy eBooks and software with resell rights. If a product comes with resell rights it means that you can resell it to other people. They, however, cannot resell it, only you can.

Some books have the limitation that you can’t give them away for free, you must sell them. Make sure that the book you choose allows you to give it away free because that’s what you want to do in this case.

Master resell rights means that you can offer the product, whether it be an eBook or software etc., to your customer for them to also resell to others. They have the rights to also sell the book, once they buy or obtain it from you.

PRIVATE LABEL PRODUCTS

Services like InfoGoRound provide Private Label eBooks and articles that you can use and also sell. Private Label means that only those who are subscribing members of the service are allowed to sell the products on the site.

InfoGoRound provides the eBook graphics and sales letters, as well as the website templates for selling each eBook.

You can use these eBooks and even article compilations as free bonuses.

There are also subscription sites that provide Master Resell products.

Do a Google search for “Master Resell Rights” products and sweeten the pot.

Make sure that the product(s) you are considering offering as bonuses compliment and don’t compete with your main product.

Happy searching!
